SPEEDWAY, INDIANA (MAY 19, 2024) – Dreyer & Reinbold Racing / Cusick Motorsports showcased their competitive edge during the Indianapolis 500 Fast 12 qualifying session, with seasoned driver Ryan Hunter-Reay securing the 12th position. Hunter-Reay, piloting the No. 23 VensureHR/Four Sixes Ranch Beef/101 Studios Chevrolet car, delivered a solid four-lap average speed of 230.567 mph, securing his spot in the fourth row of the Greatest Spectacle in Racing.

Hunter-Reay, the 2014 Indy 500 champion, demonstrated his vast experience and technical skill throughout the run. His qualification not only highlights his consistency but also places Dreyer & Reinbold Racing / Cusick Motorsports in a strong position as they approach the race.

Team’s Preparedness and Strategy

Ryan Hunter-Reay’s 12th place qualification underscores the team’s readiness and strategic prowess. The team, led by owner Dennis Reinbold, meticulously prepared for this moment, ensuring that Hunter-Reay’s car was finely tuned for peak performance. The focus now shifts to the race day trim, where Hunter-Reay will aim to secure an even better starting position for the race.

Dennis Reinbold expressed satisfaction with Hunter-Reay’s performance, emphasizing the hard work and dedication of the entire team. “Ryan showed today why he’s a champion,” Reinbold remarked. “We’re excited about his performance and look forward to seeing what he can achieve in the Indianapolis 500.”

Looking Ahead to Race Day

The 12th position offers a competitive starting point for Hunter-Reay as he prepares for the rigorous demands of the Indianapolis 500. Conor Daly in the No. 24 Polkadot Chevrolet car has also secured his spot into the 108th Running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge and will start in the 29th position. The team is confident that with both drivers experience and strategic acumen, Hunter-Reay and Daly can advance through the field and contend for victory.
