CARMEL, Ind. (May 1, 2022) – Homefield and Dreyer & Reinbold Racing today announced a new partnership that will feature Dreyer & Reinbold Racing apparel for the 2022 Indianapolis 500, presented by Gainbridge, and the 2022 Nitro Rallycross season.
The vintage-style t-shirt, designed by Homefield, features a tribute to DRR’s first IndyCar win at Walt Disney World Speedway. In 2000, DRR accomplished the incredible feat of winning their first-ever race. The No. 24 car donned a blue, orange, and yellow livery which became a staple in IndyCar throughout the 2000s. The No. 24 can still be seen today and will be driven by Sage Karam in this year’s Indianapolis 500. Homefield will be selling the t-shirt on their website for a limited time.
Homefield’s merchandise items spotlight unique designs and are regarded by customers as exceptionally comfortable. They have become successful in the college apparel market and have become campus experts in the apparel business.
“As newer members of the Speedway community, we jumped at the opportunity to partner with Dreyer & Reinbold on this throwback tee,” said Connor Hitchcock, founder, and CEO of Homefield. “We’re proud to introduce our community of college sports fans to this iconic Indianapolis racing institution, and hope they join us in cheering on the No. 23 and 24 cars this May.”
“The partnership between Homefield and Dreyer & Reinbold Racing will be a valuable partnership for both sides. DRR will be able to provide exceptional apparel for their existing fans while exposing our brand to Homefield’s strong existing supporters,” said Dennis Reinbold, team owner of the Dreyer & Reinbold Racing. “Homefield has an exceptional commitment to their customers and their extraordinary presence on social media.”
The shirt is available for purchase online at HomefieldApparel.com and can be shipped across the globe.
About Dreyer & Reinbold Racing
Dreyer & Reinbold Racing was founded in 1999 by Indianapolis car dealer Dennis Reinbold. The legacy of the Dreyer and Reinbold family dates back to the 1920s with Reinbold’s grandfather, the legendary Floyd “Pop” Dreyer, a former factory motorcycle racer. Dreyer served as a crewman and mechanic on the famed Duesenberg driven by Benny Shoaff and Babe Stapp in the 1927 Indy 500. Dreyer went on to build Indy 500 cars in the 1930s many of which started on the front row. In addition, Dreyer constructed championship-winning sprint cars and midgets as well as quarter midgets called Dreyerettes. Dreyer & Reinbold Racing captured its first win in 2000 with driver Robbie Buhl at Walt Disney World Speedway in Orlando, Fla., and has fielded a variety of drivers including Buhl, Buddy Lazier, Sarah Fisher, Buddy Rice, Al Unser Jr., Sage Karam and J.R. Hildebrand. Dreyer & Reinbold Racing has successfully qualified all 42 drivers for the Indy 500 in its history. DRR, who competed in Rallycross for the first time in 2015, captured the 2016 Lites rallycross championship. In 2021, the team campaigned Tanner Foust and Cabot Bigham in the Supercar division of Nitro Rallycross. Additionally, the team ran a selection of lites cars that included drivers such as Sage Karam, Conner Martell, and Lane Vacala.
